Reterritorializing Belonging (2008-2010)

This body of work encapsulates the body dragged performances where I used casts of my own body as symbolic point of departures and returns from long commutes for performances that are layered portrayals of humor and sadness. The casts were dragged behind my car navigating through the landscape between my two cities. The four-hour commute during each performance eroded the body bit by bit dispersing the pieces throughout the landscape enacting the road as a place of belonging.
